Plant Services
Plant Pest Control
This service authorizes the licensee to provide services for the prevention and control of plant pests, excluding the Red Palm Weevil. The service includes visual detection and diagnosis of plant pests and their control using conventional methods such as spraying or removal. It does not include surveillance, surveys, or control of desert locusts, which require an additional license, nor does it include biological or aerial pest control, which require separate licenses, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Detection of Red Palm Weevil Using Live Detection Methods
This service authorizes the licensee to provide Red Palm Weevil detection services using live detection methods, such as trained detection dogs, in accordance with the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Aerial Pest Control
This service authorizes the licensee to provide aerial control services for plant pests and public health pests, in accordance with the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Palm Tree Transportation
This service authorizes the licensee to transport palm trees between different locations pursuant to an approved permit and in accordance with specified technical and health requirements—including inspection, treatment, and documentation—to prevent the transmission of agricultural pests and safeguard plant health, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Control of Red Palm Weevil Using Restricted Pesticide
This service authorizes the licensee to provide Red Palm Weevil control services using aluminum phosphide, in accordance with the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Locust Surveillance, Survey and Control
This service authorizes the licensee to provide services aimed at limiting and controlling locust activity and spread in breeding habitats across their various developmental stages and species, in accordance with the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Production of Biological Control Agents
This service authorizes the licensee to produce and rear approved living organisms used to control plant pests and public health pests, such as predators, parasitoids, and biological pathogens, under controlled conditions within dedicated facilities for use in biological pest control programs, in accordance with the controls, requirements, and service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Laboratory Diagnosis of Plant Pests
This service authorizes licensed laboratories to provide identification and diagnostic services for plant pests, including insect pests, mites, and other diseases affecting plants, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Treatment of Palm Trees Intended for Transportation
This service authorizes the licensee to treat palm trees by dipping them in a pesticide approved by the Weqaa Center, carrying out cleaning, frond-base pruning, and spraying with an approved pesticide solution for this purpose, or utilizing any other approved method, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Plant Health Consultancy
This service authorizes the licensee to provide technical consultancy services for the preparation and implementation of plant health programs, such as Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs, including diagnosis, assessment of infestation levels, and selection of appropriate control methods to improve agricultural production efficiency and reduce environmental risks, as well as plant health awareness and educational activities, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Integrated Management of Red Palm Weevil
This service authorizes the licensee to provide detection and treatment services for the Red Palm Weevil. This includes the use of various pest detection methods and the treatment of infested palm trees through injection, scraping, and modern technologies. It does not include control using fumigation with a restricted pesticide or detection using live methods, as these services require additional qualification and licensing, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Animal disease services
Internal Veterinary Quarantine
This service authorizes the licensee to provide veterinary quarantine services for animals for a specified period in return for a fee, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Veterinary Surveillance and Epidemiological Investigation
This service authorizes the licensee to conduct field verification and epidemiological investigations of animal diseases, submit the required reports, and support the Center's activities related to the surveillance and investigation of animal diseases, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Control of Insect Disease Vectors
This service authorizes the licensee to provide integrated management services for insect disease vectors, including conducting field surveys, collecting and analyzing samples, identifying areas of vector distribution, and controlling such vectors, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Support for Issuing Animal Health Certificates
This service authorizes the licensee to provide support for issuing animal health certificates, such as inspecting animal consignments intended for export, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center, and the Center-approved certificate issuance form for animals and animal products.
Animal Health Consultancy
This service authorizes the licensee to provide consultancy services related to disease prevention and control, biosecurity programs, infection control, and related awareness and educational activities, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Animal Vaccination
This service authorizes the licensee to provide animal vaccination services against various animal diseases, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center and the standard work execution guidelines approved by the Center.
Bio-Disinfection of Facilities and Vehicles
This service authorizes the licensee to provide disinfection services for animal production facilities, equipment, and vehicles for routine purposes or following outbreaks of epidemic diseases, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosis
This service authorizes the licensee to perform laboratory examinations and tests to detect disease-causing agents and their vectors, identify their types and characteristics using approved methods and technologies, and thereby support accurate diagnosis and appropriate decisions related to prevention and treatment, in accordance with the controls and requirements of the service delivery manual approved by the Weqaa Center.
