About the Observatory
The National Observatory for Plant and Animal Health is responsible for organizing and coordinating relevant research and scientific efforts by compiling, reviewing, and assessing studies, research, and experiments, thereby structuring the research process and leading it toward scientific publication.
The Observatory also focuses on defining national research priorities and making them available to researchers and specialists in fields related to plant and animal health. This enhances scientific research and innovation, supporting efficiency in the prevention and control of plant pests and animal diseases in the Kingdom.
Objective
The National Observatory for Plant and Animal Health aims to serve as the reference authority responsible for organizing and supervising all experiments, innovations, research, studies, and related information. Its purpose is to unify national efforts by compiling and reviewing scientific research and experiments, extracting national research priorities, and making them available to researchers based on national needs. It also undertakes the publication of such outputs and the identification of national priorities for research and studies on the prevention of plant pests and animal diseases.

Establishing and activating a national electronic platform for researchers and research in the field of plant and animal health.
Supporting and encouraging research, studies, and innovations in plant and animal health in cooperation with relevant entities.
Developing systems, policies, and procedures to regulate scientific research and innovation, in coordination with the administrative units of the Center.
Collaborating with the public and private sectors on research and studies in plant and animal health, in coordination with the administrative units of the Center.
Providing continuous development and evaluation opportunities for researchers and innovators in cooperation with relevant departments.
Participating in the organization of scientific symposia, conferences, and workshops in the fields of scientific research and innovation, in coordination with the administrative units of the Center.
Providing scientific and advisory recommendations in the field of plant and animal health.
Performing any other functions assigned within its scope of competence.
