The Plant Health Sector at Weqaa Center seeks to implement the policies of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for the prevention and Control of Plants Pests, in line with relevant legislations and regulations for protecting plant wealth, enhancing food security, preserving biodiversity, and ensuring agricultural sustainability. The Sector develops plant protection measures against pests and fulfills the Kingdom’s commitments under international agreements by regulating plant health operations through strategies, plans, programs, initiatives, and controls. These efforts aim to protect plant wealth by improving performance efficiency in integrated plant pest management, implementing plant health standards and quarantine regulations, monitoring plant pests, regulating and tracing plant health inputs, and qualifying plant health service providers to carry out their work.
