Equine Influenza  

Equine Influenza is a highly contagious viral respiratory disease that spreads rapidly among unvaccinated horses. Symptoms include high fever, severe dry coughing, and swelling of the lymph nodes in the face and under the jaw. There is no effective treatment for equine influenza.  

Preventive Measures:  

Disinfecting equipment and thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing stables.  

Conducting regular screenings for early detection of infections.  

Immediately isolating sick horses and preventing contact with healthy horses until diagnosis is confirmed.
