Newcastle Disease

Newcastle Disease is viral disease that can affect chickens and other bird species at various ages. The severity of its impact depends on the virulence of the virus and the health condition of the birds.  

Newcastle Disease presents in three clinical forms:  
Neurological Symptoms  

Eye inflammation (conjunctivitis)  

Respiratory Symptoms  

Difficulty breathing, hoarseness, and tear discharge  

Visceral Symptoms

Key Symptoms (diarrhea, inflammation of the stomach lining, and the presence of hemorrhagic spots in the intestines)

Mortality rates begin shortly after symptoms appear and can range from 95% to 100% (mortality rates vary depending on the virus strain).

Prevention Measures:

Regular preventive vaccination.  

Strengthen and maintain high levels of biosecurity measures on farms.
