Foot-and-Mouth Disease  

Foot-and-Mouth Disease is a contagious viral disease that affects cloven-hoofed animals such as (sheep, cattle, and goats). It is classified as one of the priority animal diseases in the Kingdom due to its rapid spread and the economic losses it causes, including reduced milk production and increased mortality among young animals.

To prevent infection, the following measures should be taken:  

Vaccinate animals regularly against Foot-and-Mouth Disease. ​  

Report suspected cases immediately to the relevant authorities.  

Quarantine affected herds and control animal movement in the infected area.
