Sheep Pox  

Sheep Pox is a contagious viral disease that affects all breeds of sheep and goats. The mortality rate ranges from 5% to 20%, particularly among young animals.  

Symptoms:  

High fever.  

Pneumonia 

Skin rash and red spots on the body of the infected animal.  

To limit the spread of Sheep Pox, the following measures should be implemented:  

Annual vaccination of animals against Sheep Pox.  

Spraying pens with insecticides and disinfecting tools and equipment.  

Safe disposal of dead animals using proper sanitary methods.  

Treating and isolating infected cases.
