The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) has officially recognized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as free from Equine Arteritis Virus following the fulfilment of the approved international technical requirements and standards after WOAH's evaluation of the Kingdom's dossier prepared by Weqaa Center that includes the preventative and control procedures and epidemic control surveillance programs applied in the Kingdom; in accordance with the requirements and standards accreditedby WOAH. Actually, this achievement reflects the continuous national efforts in order to enhance the animal health system and raise the efficiency of control and prevention actions that support the rapid response to animal diseases. These efforts have the crucial role in developing horse industry and enhancing the international championships and participations of horse racing in the Kingdom. The Kingdom obtainment of international recognition embodies the level of advancement that animal health services have witnessed in the Kingdom, and enhance the veterinary procedure's reliability in the international level in the field of preventing and controlling animal diseases.
