Weqaa Center, represented by Chief Animal Sector Officer Dr. Sanad Salem Al Harbi, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Falcons Club, represented by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Talal Abdulaziz Al Alshamaisi. The purpose is to: • Enhance the framework of corporate cooperation in the fields that are related to falcons' health in order to prevent diseases and their vectors. • Promote the efficiency of veterinary and healthy action related to this important group of birds. Actually, this partnership is seeking to build a strategic cooperation that covers several crucial fields through: • Implementing prevention and control actions related to falcons' diseases and their vectors. • Conducting the relevant epidemiological surveys. • Coordinating the corporate efforts to facilitate the health inspection and oversight operations during the falcons' festivals. • Strengthening cooperation in the field of necessary veterinary pharmaceuticals. • Organizing the licensing procedures for the centers of falcons' reproduction and care.

The memorandum of understanding has also focused on the sides of awareness, education, and guidance through: • Exchanging of experiences and scientific and technical consulting services. • Sharing studies, researches, data related to the prevention and control operations.

In the framework of supporting awareness and scientific activities, both Sides have decided to: • Organize and sponsor the internal and external conferences, forums, and workshops. • Activate cooperation that supports the corporate representation locally and internationally. • Expand the strategic partnership with the specialized Sides. • Enhance the efficiency of animal health and prevention system. • Contribute to protecting the animal and environmental resources. Weqaa Center's representative has emphasized that the partnership, between both Sides, will support the national efforts to protect falcons and provide veterinary care for them; in line with the environmental and cultural interests of falcons and the Kingdom Vision 2030; in the field of sustainability, innovation, and environmental and health security.
