Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University, earned in 1982. He was appointed Minister of Agriculture in January 2015, and following a royal decree in May 2016, the ministry’s scope was expanded to include Environment and Water, making him the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. He worked for 13 years in the petroleum industry before joining Almarai Company in 1996, where he held the positions of Executive Vice President and General Manager of Almarai’s central factories in Al-Kharj, until being appointed CEO of the company from 2000 to 2015.

He also chaired the Boards of Directors of both the International Dairy and Juice Company (a joint venture between Almarai and PepsiCo) and the Technical Institute for Dairy and Food, which Almarai established in collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation to localize the dairy industry.

He also chaired the Boards of Directors of Modern Food Industries Company ("Seven Days") and United Farmers Company, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) and as a member of the Engineering Council at the College of Engineering, King Saud University.

His Excellency currently serves, in his capacity as Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, as Chairman of the Boards of Directors for the following entities: the Saudi Food Security Authority, the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, the General Authority for the Preservation of Coral Reefs and Red Sea Turtles, the General Authority for Irrigation, the National Water Company, the Saudi Water Partnerships Company, the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), the Saudi Recycling Investment Company, the National Agricultural Services Company, the Agricultural Development Fund, the King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center, the National Center for Research and Development of Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), the National Center for Wildlife Development, the National Center for Plant Pest and Animal Disease Prevention and Control (WEQAA), the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification, the National Center for Meteorology, the National Center for Environmental Compliance Monitoring, the National Waste Management Center, the National Center for Palm and Dates, the Environment Fund, the National Program for Livestock and Fisheries Sector Development, and the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program. Al-Fadli’s expertise is distinguished in operational management, project management, and investment management. He is also known for supporting social responsibility programs, serving as a member of the Association for Disabled Children, supporting the training of national workforce, and localizing jobs. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to natural resource conservation and agricultural development.
