Weqaa Center Participates in King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival2025 organized by Saudi Falcons Club in its headquarters located in Malham, north of Riyadh City; with extensive international participation. Weqaa Center has a main role in this festival comes within its convention signed with the Saudi Falcons Club which aims to enhance the cooperation in the fields of falcons' diseases prevention and control and coordinate the veterinary health efforts related to falcons and their activities. The most important roles undertook by Weqaa Center are: awareness and education for the falcons' owners and visitors with the best practices of healthy breeding, methods of the common diseases that affect the safety and efficiency of falcons, readiness of the field teams to monitor the epidemiological situation with great precision, preparing the veterinary health requirements to ensure the safety all the participant birds, organizing and facilitating the entry procedures of falcons into the Kingdom, providing the necessary technical support for the exportation and importation according to the approved international measures. Actually, Weqaa Center is keenly interested in protecting the plant and animal wealth from pests and diseases to ensure the plant and animal production safety, protect the public health from the risk of zoonotic diseases between human and animal, enhance the food security, and support the sustainable agricultural development in the Kingdom. It is mentioned that the convention signed by Weqaa Center and Saudi Falcons Club focuses on the cooperation in various fields that include: exchange of studies, research, experiences, and information related falcons' diseases and the methods of control, coordinating the use of veterinary pharmaceuticals and medicines, developing the corporate preventative programs, and unify the health procedures related to falcons.
